Call It A Comeback - Billy Laninovich Is Back
Pretty much no one knew that Billy Laninovich was going to be racing Anaheim, including Billy himself until a couple of weeks ago. Lano has long been known as a superstar when it comes to whipping the bike, but people sometimes forget that he has a Supercross win under his belt (San Fran '05). He showed up at Anaheim riding a CRF250 and looked pretty strong, making the main and eventually finishing 14th. Racing yourself into shape two weeks before the opener is usually not a recipe for podiums, I guess. Vurb Moto's Ryne Swanberg got the scoop from Billy himself just after Anaheim.
