Spotted this weekend, and they could have been running it longer, was a front motor mount on James Stewart's bike that is completely rubber mounted. it's no secret that Stewart isn't riding like we've seen him before and that this partnership is slower to get going than we thought it would be. Stewart's almost two races down in the points and only has one win so far.
So this is a unique design no doubt to give the motor more flex and help it respond better when it comes to turning. I don't think vibration would be the reason they did it and considering that motor mounts changed in a 1mm direction in thickness or direction make a difference, I gots to think this is a pretty radical change.
Look close at the front motor mount.
