Catch up with Wil Hahn

The guys over PanicRev.org put up a video today from last week's Glen Helen practice featuring a good interview with Wil Hahn and him throwing down some laps. In the interview, Wil talks about his progress since coming back from injury and about his first three outdoor nationals of the year. He also talks about what it is going to take to get into the top five, and after his ride a few days later at High Point, it looks like Wil took his own advice.

At High Point, Wil got the start and the practice running the top four riders' pace that he talked about needing. In the first moto, he ripped the holeshot and ran in second for fifteen minutes before falling off a little to finish fourth. In moto two, Wil had an equally impressive ride. After crashing on the first lap and getting buried at the back of the pack, Wil fought back to finish ninth. Overall, High Point was huge for the #58 mentally. At the end of the day, Wil went 4-9 for a sixth overall.

I am pumped for Wil and hope this is just the beginning. He is just one of those guys that keep plugging away even though he cannot seem to catch a break. Since getting his dream ride with GEICO/Honda, Wil has had one injury after the next and has not completed a season indoors or out.  I really hope he can stay healthy this summer and carry that momentum into the 2013 SX season.
